1941 "Blitz war"

·         The worst of the bomb attacks carried out by the German Luftwaffe also known as the “Blitz War” has become a lot less frequent. From the 7^th of September last year until the 10^th of May this year the Germans have attacked us, and killed over 42,000 British civilians. Most of the attacks were carried out against London, but cities throughout the country have been damaged by the bombs of the Luftwaffe. Birmingham and Coventry were targeted because of our Spitfire factories and important industries.  The entire British nation is hurt by the cruelty of the Germans, but we must keep up the fight against them. With the help an increasing number of anti-aircraft guns and searchlights that were radar-controlled it improved the accuracy and helped with the British protection of our nation.
